RESEARCH & INSIGHT
Research and insights for better recruitment
Good choices begin with insight into the people you want to reach. We investigate how candidates experience the application process, map out labor market and target group demands, and share insights from our own research and practice.
25 years of experience in recruitment • permanent and interim professionals • specialized and broader search queries

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE RESEARCH
How do candidates experience your application process?
Since 2017, we have been investigating how rejected candidates and new employees experience the application process and the initial period after joining. Through quantitative and qualitative research, we reveal where communication, expectations, and personal attention align well and where improvement is needed.
The results are translated into a clear report with scores per process step, qualitative insights, benchmark comparisons, and concrete recommendations for recruitment, HR, and hiring managers.
-
Experience of rejected candidates
-
Experience of new employees
-
Analysis of communication and touchpoints
-
Comparison with previous measurements and other organisations
-
Concrete recommendations for improvement
If desired, we translate the research findings into concrete improvements in daily recruitment practice during a workshop.
RESEARCH INTO YOUR RECRUITMENT CHALLENGE
First understand who you want to reach
Additional research may be required for a new or hard-to-fill recruitment need.
We then map out, for example, the relevant labour market, potential target groups, their motivations, and the networks surrounding these professionals.
The precise approach depends on the question. Therefore, we determine in advance what information is needed and what form of research is appropriate.

RESEARCH BY THE REFERRAL SPECIALIST
Referral Recruitment Benchmark
Since 2019, over 2,000 organisations have participated in the Referral Recruitment Benchmark of the Referral Specialist. The research shows how organisations organise word-of-mouth recruitment in practice, where programmes stall, and what organisations with structurally better results do differently.

VISION & PUBLICATIONS
The greatest labour market opportunity is closer than many organisations think.
Organisations invest in job postings, campaigns, and technology, while a significant part of their reach and trust already resides in the relationships surrounding the organization. Michael Boud demonstrates why labour market development is increasingly becoming a network issue.
RESEARCH QUESTION
What do you want to understand better?
Do you want to know how candidates experience your application process, or do you lack insight into a labour market or target group? Briefly explain what is going on.
We honestly assess what information is needed and whether research is the right approach.
