Michael Boud and Maaike Willems have been working on recruitment, search, and labour market issues for over twenty years. Their original specialisms lie in communication, marketing, content, creation, HR, and recruitment. Drawing on that experience, they now handle recruitment requests across a wide range of roles and labor markets.
We build each search around your requirements: the expertise you need, where to find the right professionals, and how to engage them through trusted relationships and a personal approach.
OUR BACKGROUND
Specialist expertise across our core disciplines, applicable across a range of labour markets.
Our experience originally lies in communication, marketing, content, creation, HR, and recruitment. Over the years, we have built up specialized knowledge and strong professional networks in these fields. A significant portion of our assignments still comes from these markets.
We also handle specialist recruitment requests outside these fields. For each assignment, we research the position, labor market, target group, and relevant networks. In this way, we build the targeted reach needed to find suitable professionals and approach them personally.
We don’t need to know every professional to begin with. We know how to map a labour market and build the connections to reach the right people.
OUR PERSPECTIVE ON THE LABOUR MARKET
A recruitment challenge is often also a question of reaching the right networks.
Professionals’ networks extend beyond job titles, sectors and recruitment platforms. They connect through peers, former colleagues, education, employers, associations and wider professional and social circles.
For each assignment, we look beyond active applicants. We map the networks that connect relevant professionals, identify who can introduce us and establish the most effective route to a personal conversation.
This allows us to recruit across labour markets without relying on an existing candidate database. Roles and sectors change; our approach remains grounded in reach, trust and personal introductions.

Michael has worked in professional recruitment since 2000, with a background spanning communications, marketing, content and the creative industries. He built several specialist recruitment businesses and professional networks in these fields.
His experience in search, candidate experience, referral recruitment and labour market research has shaped a broader perspective on recruitment. Michael identifies both the professionals suited to an assignment and the people, relationships and networks through which he can reach them. This enables him to apply his approach to new and less familiar labour markets.
Maaike Willems
Recruitment specialist & trusted adviser to organisations and professionals
Maaike has spent 23 years placing HR and recruitment professionals in permanent roles and interim assignments. She quickly identifies the experience, personality and working style an organisation truly needs.
For each assignment, Maaike brings structure, asks the questions that go beyond the job description and provides personal guidance to both client and candidate throughout the process.
Her expertise in understanding client needs, candidate selection and candidate experience applies across a wide range of roles and labour markets.
